Our experience with VIBE Learning Center has truly been a blessing to our family. Kennedy has always loved learning, but as she began struggling in school, we watched that excitement turn into frustration and discouragement.
As a first time mom, I knew what I was seeing at home. Kennedy could understand the information, explain it to me, and show that she knew it, but she was struggling to demonstrate that same understanding at school. I was being called in every couple of months to discuss her difficulties, and eventually I was told she should repeat kindergarten. I knew there had to be more to the story.
VIBE’s professional perspective validated what I had been seeing. They recognized Kennedy’s strengths, helped us understand how she learns best, and gave us tools to help her learn and retain information. They also encouraged us to consider whether she simply needed a different environment and stronger support to thrive.
Leaving a school we had been at for so long was outside of our comfort zone, but VIBE encouraged us to advocate for what Kennedy needed. We took that step and found a new school where she is thriving.
After her work with VIBE and with the right support, Kennedy has caught up academically and is now earning all A’s in her first month of 1st grade. She is getting 100s on spelling tests where before she could not get a single word correct.
Most importantly, we have watched her love for learning come back. VIBE did more than tutor Kennedy. They saw her strengths, helped us understand her, and supported us in finding the environment where she could truly succeed. We will always be grateful to Amanda, Katelyn, and the entire VIBE team for believing in Kennedy and helping us find a path forward.
