The VIBE Micro Spelling Program is a unique, condensed, high quality academic strategy delivered in a compact 6 hour schedule (3 hour sessions 2x week). This program is designed for ages 12+, non-speakers, or unreliable speakers (echolalia) and includes core subjects such as ELA, Math, Science and History.
By combining quality educational content with the elements of gross & fine motor planning skills, and RPM, and guided by the principals of PRESUMING COMPETENCE, our students have a unique opportunity to learn while gaining the ability to demonstrate and communicate their understanding through spelling.
1. Our students learn and spell together in a small group environment of 4 to 6 spellers.
2. The MSP provides a 2:1 student to teacher ratio, with highly skilled practitioners.
This model gives our spellers more opportunities to communicate with different CRP’s, in diverse environments.
3. Social time is included in our daily “WHAT’S HOT” spot, where spellers take a break, enjoy snacks, and talk (spell) to each other. This is a safe space for kids to experience autonomy, make new friends, and have regular conversations with their peers.
4. Fun experiments, art projects and full body movement exercises are incorporated each day to refine intentional gross and fine motor skills. All of these activities help develop spelling and communication success.
